Laying in the grass,
Looking up
Into a purple-blue-green sky,
I see jewels falling all around me,
Bits of precious metal
Formed from far-flung stars,
Raining on the earth.
Some fall on my imagination,
And ignite new bursts of inspiration.
How exhilarating,
How relaxing,
This dreaming in broad daylight.
