I may be too big

To sit in a swing

Or fit in a slide.

And I’d bend all the bars

If I tried to do tricks.

But I still want to play

On some playground with you.

Shall we play

Hide and Seek

In the African grass?

I’ll use my big ears

To cover my eyes.

And I’ll count backwards from twenty to one

While you look for a good place to hide.

Then I’ll open my eyes and look everywhere

Til I find you and catch you

With my very long nose.

Then I’ll lift you up high

Upon my broad back,

And give you a ride

To the cool river bank.

We’ll see all the animals

Coming to drink.

The Mommies and Daddies and Babies.

We’ll see Hippos and Monkeys,

Zebras and Giraffes.

And then it will be time

For us to take a nap.
